Lily started her Saturday of Easter weekend with Leia and Camilla, dressed as witches delivering a Påsk brev to family and friends. Several of Lily’s school friends stopped by with Easter letters for her. They sell books of Påsk colouring books that the kids colour, fill with goodies, fold, address and deliver.
We colored eggs, hid them in Mathias’s backyard and gave candy out when the kids found three of their eggs. Yarrow and Lily hid the eggs. Lily hid Yarrow’s eggs and Yarrow hid Lily’s.
The typical Påsk meal is as follows: Köttbullar (Swedish meatballs-I made them and was a little nervous about doing them “right,” Skinka (ham) served with mustard or horseradish, Sill (pickled herring) and little Prince Korv, (sausage), Johannsons Temptation potatoes (potatoes with anchovies and a sauce) and for those who don’t like them, a creamy scalloped potato and deviled eggs with caviar. A shredded carrot salad may be included. We ate at Elizabeths and Mathais’s house and Anders also grilled chicken.
